As a nutritional therapy practitioner, I provide a whole food, organic, properly prepared, nutrient dense  approach to transforming your health.
The foundation from which my passion and desire for health and fitness began were during her years of competing as a national level athlete in the NPC Figure division. I became a NPC NC State Judge for body building, fitness, figure, bikini, and men’s physique in 2004 in turn creating a niche market. Acquiring a full spectrum of fitness and nutrition experience via personal training athletes & general populations as well as owning and operating two fitness facilities for 8 years. I made a shift when my  son, Kanaan, was born with Down Syndrome. He had many of the medical issues associated with down syndrome one being the AVSD open heart surgery specific to trisomy 21.
“This was the spark that ignited a place inside me to gradually move incrementally through different learning resources to be proactive in Kanaan’s, my own and my clients’ health.” Through certifications, research and personal experiences I feel led to expand from the one dimension of fitness where I started developing a much broader vision for optimal health. I continue to open myself up to the places where I am led in spite of how many setbacks I may have… as each of the setbacks have made me grow even more. Kanaan is my purest expression of joy and so far my greatest teacher in life…”
A graduate from Nutritional Therapy Association to become a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner. In addition, I am Certified GAPS Practitioner and utilizes Functional lab testing to evaluate the status of how the physiology of the body is functioning.
I see it as integrating life experiences with a blend of dietary and fitness theories to create a completely balanced program. The focus being not just on losing weight and having a lean physique, but a place of deeper insight for a client to make true life- style changes. “I want to emphasize whole food and supplementation to restore deficiencies and nutritional imbalances for a client’s comprehensive health. The end result being a client’s body functioning properly and seeking its own ideal weight!”
I now own a private personal training studio where practicing a variety of techniques for a well rounded fitness program. This is where she continues to utilize methods focusing on proper form, super slow resistance training, using plyometric intervals and functional training with the TRX suspension trainer. I feel that it is imperative to continue to update my skills, stay inspired and on top of new industry trends. This enables me to simplify what is effective and challenge others to achieve their full sense of physical development.
